What Counts As a Plumbing Emergency?

leaking-plastic-p-trapOur slogan is “We Are Always Open for Business!” That means whenever you have a plumbing emergency, you know who to call: our plumbers are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to see that you get the repair work you need to restore your plumbing and protect your home. Depend on us for emergency plumbing in Corona, CA and elsewhere in Southern California. You can relax knowing the best plumbers are on the job.

But this brings up a good question: what qualifies as a plumbing emergency, rather than something that can wait for a few hours?

A plumbing emergency is whatever you think is an emergency

The easiest answer to the question is that if something seems like it’s an emergency to you, then don’t try to second-guess yourself. Call to our plumbers! Even if the issue turns out to be minor, you’ll have the peace of mind that it’s taken care of. If you decide to wait, and the problem is indeed an emergency, the situation will be far worse. This is a time when you definitely want to go with your gut instinct. Believe us, we don’t mind coming to your rescue no matter what the problem is.

A few specific emergency plumbing issues

Of course, there are some plumbing troubles that almost certainly are emergencies:

  • Flooding toilet. Turn off the water at the feed valve to stop the flooding, and then get our plumbers on the line.
  • Any burst or broken pipe. You want this fixed ASAP to avoid more water damage. Shut off the water main to your home (it’s usually located next to the water meter) before calling us.
  • Loss of fresh water. Sometimes a sudden shutdown of water flow to your house is a municipal issue. But if the water doesn’t turn back on soon and your neighbors aren’t having similar troubles, it’s time to call us.
  • Leaking sewer line. Any problems with your sewer line are serious and must be dealt with immediately. We use trenchless technology to get repairs done fast.

Sweetwater Plumbing serves all of Southern California.
